The Local Area

Although completely peaceful and rural we are within walking distance of a small café-bar in the local village of Figueira, where if you make the effort to say "Bom Dia" you'll receive a warm welcome.
Figueiró dos Vinhos is 5km away and is a small but beautiful market town, with shops, cafes and restaurants. There is a small cinema and indoor swimming pool, library and internet cafe (wich is free).
Life here is slow and relaxed and completely charming. The whole area is full of swimming places, fluvial beaches and stunning scenery from the historic castle of Templar at Tomar, the roman ruins at Conimbriga to the wonderful shopping and history of Coimbra, you'll never be bored!
